By speeding up our Metabolism we are loosing weight faster and improving the quality of our life, not just when it’s come to sport but for our general life as well.

What is Metabolism?

Metabolism rely to the physical and chemical processes that become in our body, which keep us functioning normally in order to stay alive, such as breathing, moving, keeping our blood  circulation , adjusting hormone levels and all systems function.

In order to that, our body convents energy from the food and drink and breaks it down into fuel, which is used to maintain a normal lifestyle.

Why it is important to have a fast Metabolism?

It is important to practice healthy habits regularly so that we can keep our metabolism at high speed on a daily basis. While having a fast metabolism is a good thing if we are trying to gain weight or muscle mass.

Some factors that influence our Metabolism:

*Age- as we are getting older our metabolism slows down due to decrease of muscle mass in our body.

*Body size- people who are a bigger size or have more muscles burn more calories, respectively they metabolism is faster.

*Sex- men usually have a faster metabolism than women due to the bigger muscle mass they have.

Can we speed up our Metabolism?

Yes,  fortunately  there are some factors to speed it up:

*Drink more  water- Drinking water can boost our body’s ability to burn fat. Our body is about 60% water and to speed up our metabolism we need to be well hydrated. Many factors affect our need for water: age, gender, temperature and ext. But normally to maintain a good health we need to drink appr. 2-3 liters of water daily.

*Add some fish oil into your daily basis- When you are looking to buy fish oil try to find  brands containing at least 300 milligrams of the fatty acid EPA and 200 milligrams of the fatty acid DHA per capsule. Take it during your meal for better resorption. For the best result I recommend you to add some good fat in your meal as well.

*Exercise regularly- It’s doesn’t matter what kind of exercises you are doing, It’s important to be active. Aerobic or yoga classes, walking, running or whatever…There are so many options available. Stay active every single day!

*Eat small, frequent meals-  Also very important to speed up our level of metabolism, it’s to eat at least 3 or 4 times on a daily basis.

*Eat plenty of Protein at every meal-  Eating  protein has also been shown to help you feel more full and prevent you from overeating.

In conclusion I would say that having a higher metabolism can help you lose weight and keep it off, while giving you more energy.
